The gardens will open from 1 Oct 2022 but due to the inclement weather we are experiencing it is very wet underfoot. Gumboots or other suitable footwear is advised
The tour begins with a walk through a grove of ancient New Zealand native trees. Neil & Greg will explain features of the garden and point out interesting features like the 1,000 year old Kahikatea tree.
There are many flowering shrubs and trees in the garden, climbing roses drape over old post and rail fences and old machinery feature as pieces of art. The old cowshed and stables are filled with interesting "treasures" which trace the early farming years. In paddocks adjacent to the garden we meet some of the animals. All the animals like to be patted and enjoy having their photograph taken. The tour takes approximately 1 hour. |
