All our tours are guided by owners Neil & Greg.
The tour begins with a walk through a grove of ancient New Zealand native trees. Neil & Greg will explain features of the garden and point out interesting features like the 900 year old Kahikatea tree.
There are many flowering shrubs and trees in the garden, climbing roses drape over old post and rail fences and old machinery feature as pieces of art. The old cowshed and stables are filled with interesting "treasures" which trace the early farming years. In paddocks adjacent to the garden there are special areas set aside for visitors to interact with the animals. The central lane allows visitors to "walk through" the pet sheep, miniature horses, alpacas and donkeys. We also have Harry, a red deer and Gary a fallow deer. All the animals like to be patted and enjoy having their photograph taken. This tour takes approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. |
